As everybody knows that kids are the gift of God, that is the reason and motivation for almost all people living out in this world. Everyone has a mind to get the best care for their children in their growing age. And most of the parents are concerned about their physical and mental growth. If you are working parents and living in a country like UAE, you need to know about kids and all. 1. Be cautious about your child movements at home. In UAE, especially in Dubai most of the population are expats and they used to live in apartments in different areas. An apartment is not that much favorable for people who have kids below age 5. Most of the flat has balconies and elevators which are a danger spot to kids. Even though the apartments are constructed based on high-end security measures, a small ignorance will keep your child's life at risk. Balconies are the primary villain for kids as there is a chance for kids to move towards that and hang on the parapet wall to watch things outside and it will increase the possibility of falling. So make sure that the balconies are not accessible to kids. Secondly the elevators. Kids are having a nature of curiosity and will do crazy experiments always. They will tend to try out the elevators working and which might cause some troubles in case of some power failure. So make sure that you accompany your child in an elevator. 2. Look for good babysitters. Due to the high living cost, most of the mom are working outside to support their family. In this case, you have no choice but to appoint a house maid or baby sitter to take care of your children. There are so many companies who will provide housemaids/ baby sitters. Make sure that you choose a right person by checking her previous work history. It’s also better to keep a CCTV at home to make sure that your kid is safe with the house maid. Since your children are mostly with them, ensure that they are hygienic enough and done with the hepatitis b vaccination as this is mandatory in UAE. 3. Take care of your child while traveling. Most of the people take their kids to shopping or leisure on weekends. If you are travelling by public transport, they are having a designated area for family and kids where you will be more comfortable than other. If you are traveling in a car, make sure that your vehicle's child lock is enabled. If you are driving the car with your kid in the back seat, make sure that you locked your child on the kid’s seats in the car. It will cost just USD 25 for a child seat, and if you are driving a rent a car, they will fix it for you free of charge upon your request. At any cost don’t keep your child in the front seat it’s more dangerous, and it's against UAE traffic rules. 4. Medical insurance. Children are more prone to diseases. Taking care of their medical expenses is a big thing as these are quite expensive in UAE. Don’t go for cheap insurance plans for the sake of having it as the cheap one restricts you from doing some individual tests and vaccination which might be essential for your child in the later stage. So try to speak with insurance brokers and get a list of plans, benefits and choose a proper one for your child. 5. Choose proper schooling system. As all aware that UAE is a mixed community with local Arabs and expats. Pick a school which follows education system followed by your home country. UAE have schools which follow variety of syllabus and curriculum where you can choose the best for your child. If you are planning to enroll your child in an international curriculum, check their aptitude by having small tests and go for it only if they have ability and mind to grab the things or else it will become hard in the later stage. 6. Educate your kids about regulation and culture. UAE is very strict in rules and regulations and have specific protocols everyone need to follow. Educate your children about that. There are several etiquette need to follow In UAE especially during some seasons like Ramadan where you need to stay away from eating and drinking in public. You need to educate your kids about UAE’s culture as they need to follow the same while they are in UAE.
